STARS BETWEEN THE SKY AND THE EARTH. PASSING GLANCES

The exhibition of black and white photography from the archives of Air France Airline Company is devoted to the history of the company and to its famous passengers.

The collection includes more than 100 archival photographs of actors, musicians, politicians and other famous persons of 1930s-70s, as well as images telling the history of the civil aviation through scenes from the life, noticed and captured by photographer's lens.

Among the portraits of the "Gallery of Stars" - French and international celebrities such as Brigitte Bardot, Frank Sinatra, Marlene Dietrich, Alfred Hitchcock, Federico Fellini, Yves Saint Laurent, Sean Connery, Galina Ulanova, Charles Aznavour, Serge Gainsbourg, Jane Birkin and many others.

Particular sections of the exhibition will show promotional posters of 1950s - 70s, the exposition will be accompanied by demonstration of short films, reflecting different aspects of the history of French airlines and Russian-French cultural and public relations during that period.

The exhibition is organized by Air France Company together with the Ekaterina Cultural Foundation, the Embassy of France and the French Institute in Russia, the Alliance network in Russia, with the support of TNT Express.
